Computer Science and Engineering

Description

Computer Science is a branch of engineering which has enormous scope and job opportunities in the modern world. The latest announcements made by government regarding establishment of new tidal parks and other technological parks reflects the need of computer engineers. The syllabus of CSE is well designed by the university to meet the requirements of modern industries both in the software as well as hardware fields. Computer Science and Engineering Department is recognized by Anna University as a research centre in the academic year 2017 – 2018 to promote the students for the research and innovative findings.

Vision

On the trail of an admirable vision relaying on the power of technology, we strive to set standards of excellence yet focusing on adding quality to human life. We also expand the reach of technology and information through innovation and invention. “We are CSE….. A home for inspired minds”

Mission

To provide quality engineering education to the students through state of art education in Computer Science Engineering.

To provide a learning environment that helps students to enhance problem solving skills and be successful in their professional lives.

To prepare students to be lifelong learners by offering a solid theoretical foundation in computing along with applied computing experiences and educating them about their professional, and ethical responsibilities.

To establish Industry Institute Interaction and to make students ready for the industrial environment.

To provide exposure to students to the latest tools and technologies in the area of computer hardware and software.

To promote research based projects/activities in the emerging areas of technology convergence.

Research

Rajas Engineering College (REC) is a research focused Technical Institution. The Institution has taken concerted efforts towards differentiating itself by encouraging Innovation and Research. Centre for Research & Development (CRD) was constituted to strengthen research activities, enhance industry interaction and to foster industry relevant research. CRD provides support and guidance to enable faculty and students to take up research and innovative development relevant to industry as well as society.

The CRD is headed by Dr. R. Joshua Samuel Raj M.E., M.B.A., Ph.D.,and ably guided by Dr.S.A.Joy Raja M.B.A., Ph.D., Chairman, REC.
