One of the successful strategies in institutional development is to tap the innovative and creative talents of students. Many talented students do not get enough opportunities to exhibit their skills. In order to encourage such talented students and inspire the younger students community, it has been decided to organise Science and Engineering Exhibitions once in three years and provide an opportunity and venue to Engineering College students and School students to bring out their inborn talents. Science and Engineering Exhibition gives a great exposure to the students of various schools and public which will be great help in shaping their carrier. The coordination of staff and students their views and ideas will bring a great change in the lines of the students by making a model of their dream.

Accordingly the Indian Engineering College organised the first Science and Engineering Exhibition on January 2003. Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project Director Dr.S.K. Agarwal and Tirunelveli District Collector Mr. Sunil Paliwal were present and inaugurated the Mega Exhibition at the College campus Vadakkangulam.Best innovation was selected and awarded

The Science and Engineering Exhibition was organised in the secured time on January 2006 and ISRO scientist inaugurated the Expo 2006 at The Indian Engineering College, Vadakkangulam.

The Science and Engineering Exhibition was staged in the third time on January 2009. Anna University Vice Chancellor Dr.S.Kaliappan and ISRO Director Dr. Mohammed Muslim were present and inaugurated the Mega Expo 2009 at Vadakkangulam.

The Science and Engineering Exhibition was held in the fourth time on 3rd and 4th February 2011 at RIIT College campus at Nagercoil.
